Bursledon, England – Tomorrow we go!

It is now shortly after 23 Clock in the evening and we just came back from shopping. A large supermarket is here 24 Hours. The boat is finally ready to go tomorrow and it should go. The first stage: Von Bursledon bei Southampton, nahe der Isle of Wight, as far east as possible to Dover. The boat: Eine Contessa 26 by name “Constellation”. Die Crew: Two Australians and I.

As I have already written in the last entry, I've taken last Wednesday evening the bus to London. About 13 Hours later, I came on Thursday against 13 Clock at Victoria station. The trip was quite tiring, The bus irsinnig closely and to make matters worse, I was sitting next to the toilet, about all the 40 Seconds was used from another rider, In the meantime, however, thanks to a broken lock repeatedly struck with a loud bang against the wall. Toll! Was hardly to think of sleep…

Arrived in London, I met Nick, I already had met the Berlin. Together we met a few hours later, Jack, who also lives in Berlin and is shooting a film about Nick's visit to Australia. The three of us took the bus to Southampton (2 Hours) and the train to Bursledon, a small, typically-British village right on the Hamble River, the north is the famous Isle of Wight.

I must admit, I was surprised at the size of the boat to some extent. Finally, the Contessa 26 Feet long, only a foot shorter than Maverick was, but it lies much deeper in the water, what makes them look much less. There were also a lot more to do, than I had expected: the lifelines had not yet been delivered and in general there were still some little things to do. On Thursday we were too tired to do, Finally, we were all long been on my feet. On Friday we took a small Probetörn the Isle of Wight, anchored near the northern coast of Cowes and shot a few shots sail in the company of another boat. Then we went to the final preparations. This morning was finally (and finally!) the lifelines provided – Now we are ready to leak tomorrow and should not preclude more. Where to go? East. Perhaps to Brighton, perhaps to Eastbourne? We will see.

I have long looked forward to this trip through England, But now I want some way to move forward but only finally. The day I harbor no more irritating, Despite the beautiful and picturesque surroundings. But I also want to move forward… We will see. I'll get back, then with pictures!
