Eighth day at sea – Headwind, Headwind, Headwind …

Dear Readers,

The Atlantic gives us no single mile. Yesterday was (hopefully!)
the most frustrating day of the entire trip: Shortly after my last
Blog entry on the wind turned east and came complete with about 5
Winds from the front. To a counter current set of about 2 Node,
gave us exactly two chances: Either to the 61st degree of longitude
North or south to the 61st degree of longitude. East? – Not
possible. Below us in the South just three low-pressure areas move into series
east, are probably responsible for the headwind. Continue to
North Sailing? There is, according to weather map to reckon with slump. Also
we decided, course just to the south and to the low pressure area,
the maximum in its core 7 Winds, but until 4,5 Meter wave have
shall, to take. The decision proved to be correct. To
Midnight, we could only just keep heading south, but over the
Night was the current, the farther we went south, so after we
against 4 Clock in the morning reintroduced the course for the Azores,
instead of just "on the spot" to sail. What a feeling of happiness!

Now, even the sun came out again – for the wind shifted, however,
so far, that we can only lie east-south-. But rather only a
little to the east than never! We are excited, what the next
Weather map brings. We hope, To access the westerly winds of the lows,
without entirely to sail into.

Life on board all day yesterday was really borderline. The
Boat was just jumping on us jump, repeatedly came waves.
Our clothes have become damp and salty. Even the sleeping bag
already. In general, it costs time and again a little overcome, from the
warm berth in the humid and salty sticky oil stuff to climb and
is set to guard the cockpit. How easy it would be all, when
West winds aufkämen again and we just run to the Azores
could. Because until then, there are nevertheless still 1490 Miles.

The hour period today but fell back modestly from, but for the
Conditions are still good: 58,9 Miles. Average water for 86,3
Miles.

After the annoying and exhausting day, especially with the
"On-the-spot-Sailing" yesterday, We are now in the sun again
more confident. Will again be better. Let's see, was
The weather map is equal to 19.15 UTC brings…

Greetings from out here!
